Web-based Resources

There are many web-based resources that are beneficial to educators and students.

Teachnology provides many resources for teachers of k-12 students - teAchnololgy.

The National Education Association provides a lot of tools and ideas for teachers, including lesson plan ideas, tips for classroom management, teaching strategies and other advice -
National Education Association.

Dictionary provides teachers and students alike. Dictionary provides users the ability to verify the spelling of words and find their definitions as well - Dictionary.

Google is very useful for teachers and students alike. Using Google is helpful in doing research and searching for various information of the Internet -  Google.

Google Translate is a helpful resource for anyone who is studying and learning about [foreign] language(s) - Google Translate.
When doing reseach and writing papers that require proper citation or bibliographies, Easy Bib is a good resource - Easy Bib.

You Tube is full of videos that teach and explain how to do just about anything - you tube.

For teachers who want to use social media is  and out of the classroom, Edmodo is a good resource that will enable teachers to create class groups for their classess/students -  Edmodo.

I am a member of International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). ISTE is for educators and education leaders engaged in improving learning and teaching by advancing the effective use of technology in PK-12 and teacher education. - I.S.T.E.

Mind Tools is a helpful resource for those who are interested in learning more about leadership and having a great career - Mind Tools.
Indeed is useful for those who are searching for a [new] job/career - Indeed.

You version is very helpful for everyone who is interested in reading and sharing scripture online -You Version.

My wife has a website called Tech Tips which provides tips for teachers interested in learning about and using technology in the classroom -  Tech Tips.

    I use many of the online resources you mentioned—specifically Google, YouTube, Edmodo, YouVersion, and Dictionary.com. I am a member of the NCTE, which the National Council of Teachers of English, and that website is helpful for English teachers, as the resources are quite extensive and are practical-minded for everyday use.
    At my school, we use NoodleTools , which is an online resource for teachers and students. It is very helpful because teachers can check students’ resources, notecards, etc...online, which can be a time saver as well as a paper saver.
    Another resource that I enjoy is Rubistar, which is an excellent rubric maker. I use this one often.
    Thank you for sharing your online resources. It is important to collaborate with others, for the resources available are vast, and there is no way that we could be aware of all there is available without collaboration.

    I am glad that you find Many of these resources helpful.

    NCTE sound like it is helping you as an English teacher by providing you with practical resources for everyday life.

    I have not heard of NoodleTools, but it sounds interesting and very helpful. I agree that collaboration is important for teachers who want to be more effective. There is a lot of information out there on the Internet.
